Food and beverage companies in North America are noting a trend toward consumer preferences for healthy foods and drinks. Consumers are becoming more aware of the obesity epidemic, and many of them recognize that changing the way they eat is a first step toward a healthier lifestyle. As a result, they are turning away from calorie-laden drinks and foods that offer plenty of sugar, salt, and fat, but not many nutrients. To keep up with consumer demand, food and beverage companies are changing formulations of existing products and trying to get new products on the market that will please more health-conscious consumers.<\/p>\n
If your company regularly appraises food and beverage manufacturing equipment, are you noticing this trend? And if your clients can charge a premium for these healthier food items that are more in demand, are business valuations changing? Tell us about your experiences!<\/p>\n
