There are at least 20 reasons lenders, CPAs, Attorneys, business owners, and others may need a certified machinery and equipment appraisal (CMEA) is required by lenders, CPAs, attorneys, business owners, and others.<\/p>\n

Lenders are required to substantiate equipment values to satisfy the U.S. Small Business Administration and bank examiners. CPAs are required by the IRS to substantiate equipment values to satisfy the Pension Protection Act of 2006 and AICPA Standards of Valuation #1. Attorneys need to rely on a qualified and certified appraisal when representing clients in a number of situations.
