It\u2019s also a good time to assess and reassess, and that includes having appraisals done on machinery and equipment by a <a href=\"..\/2010\/05\/12\/getting-a-cmea-designation\/\">certified machinery and equipment appraiser (CMEA)<\/a> so you know what everything\u2019s worth.<\/p>\n<p>Machinery and equipment depreciate over time, so the value of something at the beginning of 2011 may not be the same as the value at the beginning of 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you need an appraisal done or are considering <a href=\"..\/2010\/12\/23\/nebb-institute-members%27-thoughts-on-becoming-cmeas\/\">becoming an appraiser yourself<\/a>, the NEBB Institute is the place to start.
