There was an interesting article in today\u2019s Post-Gazette, which gave some examples of how businesses are preparing contingency plans<\/a> for the arrival of avian flu.<\/p>\n As I\u2019ve said here before, avian flu is going to require some different approaches from procurement professionals. This particular article even cited the input of Giant Eagle\u2019s director of IT procurement.<\/p>\n The avian flu threat is definitely driving some business changes and procurement leaders need to be proactive, flexible, and ready to switch gears.
