{"id":2457,"date":"2008-05-02T15:56:00","date_gmt":"2008-05-02T15:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.certitrek.com\/nlpa\/2008\/05\/02\/the-spsm-certification-continues-to-spread-globally\/"},"modified":"2022-07-07T08:17:02","modified_gmt":"2022-07-07T12:17:02","slug":"the-spsm-certification-continues-to-spread-globally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.certitrek.com\/nlpa\/blog\/the-spsm-certification-continues-to-spread-globally\/","title":{"rendered":"The SPSM Certification Continues To Spread Globally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019re a regular reader of this blog, you know that I like to dedicate one of the first posts of the month (almost) every month to sharing the names of the countries that have had their first SPSM\u2019s certified.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.certitrek.com\/nlpa\/businesses\/membership\/\">Become a member of one of the world\u2019s largest procurement associations today!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is getting more difficult every month because, with employers from over 60 countries throughout the world having enrolled their purchasing professionals in the Senior Professional in Supply Management<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Program, many of these countries already have SPSM\u2019s in them! Looking over the list of SPSM\u2019s certified since my last update on this blog, I\u2019m seeing far away places like Namibia, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates, etc. on the list but\u2026there are already (in some cases, many) SPSM\u2019s in those countries.<\/p>\n<p>However, we do have a couple of countries to add to the list. Since the last update here, the first SPSM\u2019s from Argentina and India have been certified.<\/p>\n<p>This is a dream come true for me. The thought of purchasing certifications being awarded by \u201cnational associations\u201d where the recognition of those certifications were limited to the countries of those associations is so outdated.<\/p>\n<p>A globally recognized purchasing certification is so important. Today\u2019s purchasing professionals deal with suppliers from around the world. It is obviously critical that those suppliers recognize the caliber of purchasing professional they are dealing with.
