We did a \u201cyear in review\u201d meeting internally and I thought I would share some of the more salient highlights with you!<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss updates on Procurement &amp; Supply Chain, Subscribe here!<\/p>\n<p>January<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We broke open the champagne at 9:00AM one morning as Next Level Purchasing reached a huge inception-to-date revenue milestone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>February<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We launched the new online course \u201cBasics of Smart International Procurement\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>March<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We moved into our new headquarters<\/li>\n<li>I was named to Supply &amp; Demand Chain Executive Magazine\u2019s 2008 Pros To Know for the second consecutive year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>June<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We implemented a new integrity standard with the SPSM<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Exam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>July<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We launched the SPSM<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> logo<\/li>\n<li>We posted a video success story from Erick Opdenbosch, SPSM who saved his company $2 million by applying what he learned from us<\/li>\n<li>We launched the online course \u201cExecuting A Global Sourcing Strategy<\/li>\n<li>We launched SPSM Groups on LinkedIn and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/nextlevelpurchasing\">Facebook<\/a>. We are now up to nearly 400 members on LinkedIn and over 100 on Facebook.<\/li>\n<li>We reskinned our older classes and added photos to give them a more appealing, consistent look<\/li>\n<li>Next Level Purchasing was named to the Supply &amp; Demand Chain Executive 100 for the second year in a row<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>August<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We held the Purch-lympics right here on this blog with G.P Thushara Sampath Gunasekara from Sri Lanka getting the most votes for his essay on increasing supplier competition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>September<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We upgraded our \u201cManager Check\u201d module which allows our customers\u2019 managers to better monitor the progress of their teams through our online purchasing training<\/li>\n<li>We started \u201cWhitepaper Wednesday\u201d on here on this blog<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>October<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We launched PurchSearch \u2013 a search engine designed specifically to help purchasing professionals conduct their research more quickly while accessing only high-quality content<\/li>\n<li>We completed our annual course review and implemented improvements to classes \u2013 many of which were suggested by students \u2013 which saw over 12% growth in the amount of content in the online classes \u201cMastering Purchasing Fundamentals\u201d and \u201cMicrosoft Excel For Purchasing Professionals\u201c<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>November<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We launched the Purchasing Certification Channel on YouTube<\/li>\n<li>We launched our super fun mid-term games in each of our online classes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>December<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We launched our testimonial map, sharing the thoughts of our students from around the world<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other notable 2008 accomplishments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve increased the number of certified SPSM\u2019s by over 90% from the number at the beginning of the year. That\u2019s almost double!<\/li>\n<li>Today we have certified SPSM\u2019s in 40 countries, students enrolled in the Senior Professional in Supply Management<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Program in over 80 countries, and customers in over 100 countries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, despite the economic conditions, Next Level Purchasing has grown tremendously and brought a lot of innovation to the purchasing and supply management profession. And wait til you see what we have \u201cup our sleeve\u201d for 2009!<\/p>\n<p>None of our success would be possible without the trust of our students and their employers.
