With the economy taking a nosedive last fall and continuing to stumble through the first half of this year, many purchasing professionals \u2013 whose companies needed cost savings to survive \u2013 did the logical thing: the renegotiated their contract pricing. Hurray!<\/p>\n
However, doing so sent a message to the supply base.<\/p>\n
