NEBB Institute is proud to announce that, together with Certitrek and the International Society of Business Appraisers (ISBA), we have officially joined the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) as a member organization.
The IVSC is the independent global standard setter for the valuation profession. Its mission is to advance quality, consistency, and public trust in valuation through International Valuation Standards (IVS) — principles-based standards recognized and applied by valuation professionals worldwide.
IVSC member organizations are committed to upholding the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and transparency in valuation practice, and actively contribute to the development of the valuation profession on a global scale.
What This Means for NEBB Institute Members
This membership reflects our ongoing commitment to globally recognized valuation standards — the same commitment that has guided NEBB Institute since we began certifying professionals in machinery and equipment appraisal.
This opens doors for CMEA professionals: International M&A involving machinery and equipment now requires valuation professionals who operate within globally consistent standards. CMEA holders are positioned as trusted partners for cross-border deals, multinational asset valuations, and firms expanding into international equipment appraisal. Earning your CMEA now positions you ahead of this curve when international-standard alignment becomes expected.
A Natural Extension of Our Standards
NEBB Institute has always required its members to follow USPAP appraisal standards. Joining the IVSC is a natural extension of that foundation — connecting our members to the broader international framework that brings confidence and consistency to valuation professionals worldwide.
We look forward to collaborating with the IVSC and continuing to raise the bar for machinery and equipment appraisal professionals coast-to-coast and around the world.
