According to the article, used lab equipment has been available for a long time, but the availability of used processing equipment has increased over the last decade.
The article owes this trend to recognition within the industry that equipment needs to handled efficiently and companies’ decreasing budgets. Selling unused equipment instead of letting it sit around or purchasing pre-owned equipment at a lower price both do wonders for a company’s bottom line.
