NLPA Launches Veteran Scholarship to Honor and Empower the U.S. Military Community

DURHAM, NC — May 21, 2025 — The Next Level Purchasing Association (NLPA), a leading procurement education provider, is proud to announce its newest initiative: the NLPA Veteran Scholarship, created to support the professional advancement of U.S. military personnel and veterans through access to world-class procurement education.

This veteran scholarship campaign invites eligible applicants—active-duty members, reservists, retirees, and veterans from all military branches, including the Coast Guard—to apply for a full-tuition scholarship covering one NLPA certification course. The program also includes a limited-time discount code for all qualified military professionals to further expand access.

“This program reflects both our gratitude for the service of military professionals and our belief in their exceptional potential within the global supply chain sector,” said Jeff Dean, VP for Education at NLPA and a U.S. Navy veteran. “We know firsthand how the skills developed in the military—discipline, strategic thinking, and operational excellence—translate seamlessly to procurement and supply chain leadership.”

Veteran Scholarship Offers Pathway to Civilian Success

Applicants are asked to complete a brief application that includes:

  • Personal and service-related information
  • Three brief questions about your interest in certification, how you’ll apply it, and your career goals
  • A document upload to verify military service (e.g., military ID or DD-214)

The NLPA Veteran Scholarship is part of the organization’s long-standing commitment to empowering diverse learners and creating accessible pathways to high-demand, rewarding careers.

“Our goal isn’t just to teach procurement—it’s to certify futures,” Dean added. “And this veteran scholarship is an investment in the next chapter of our military community.”

Eligibility and How to Apply

NLPA encourages applications from:

  • Veterans transitioning to civilian roles
  • Active-duty personnel preparing for promotion or retirement
  • Reservists and Guard members seeking upskilling
  • Retirees re-entering the workforce or exploring new roles
