In the last couple of weeks, the Next Level Purchasing Association (NLPA) launched the “Procurement Training & Certification Starter Kit.”  This collection of tools, training, and resources is designed to help procurement professionals learn more about procurement and plan to take their careers to the next level by becoming certified.  It is available at no charge.

The Procurement Training & Certification Starter Kit includes these components:

• Access to the first lesson of each of two online courses:  “Mastering Purchasing Fundamentals” and “Powerful Negotiation For Successful Buying.”  By completing these lessons, you are actually fulfilling part of the requirements to become SPSM Certified!
• A Certification Planning Template.  This is a really cool tool – it asks you three questions and, based on your responses, spits out a schedule for tasks you need to complete to become SPSM-Certified.  You’ll immediately have a personalized estimated date that you’ll be certified!
• Case studies, so you can learn about other procurement professionals and teams that have earned their certifications.
• A basic membership in the NLPA
