One question I get asked a lot is: “The material from the SPSM® Certification courses is so comprehensive, how do I study for the SPSM® Exam?”

Well, obviously, the first tip I have is to be as diligent as possible when learning from the online courses. After you have soaked in all of that good education, then there are ways to take a more laser-like approach to ensuring that you’re prepared for the SPSM Exam.
My top recommendation for preparing for the SPSM Exam after you’ve completed the courses is as follows:
These steps will take you to a screen where you can access the SPSM Practice Exam, the Quick Reference Guides for each course, and the eight video summaries for each course (48 total).
These resources make for excellent preparation materials for the SPSM Exam.
If you have failed the SPSM Exam and are retaking it, there’s an additional step that I would recommend. Take a look at the score report that you get after failing the exam. It will tell you how many questions you’ve answered correctly (out of 15) that relate to each of the six courses. Prioritize your study so that you spend a lot of time reviewing the courses where you scored the least. Review the printer-friendly versions of those courses. As you read through them, if you come to a section that doesn’t make sense, re-read it and re-read it until you do understand. Do not allow yourself to continue onto another section until you are confident that you’ve understood the previous section.
With the practice exam, quick reference guides, video summaries, and printer-friendly versions of the courses combined with diligent study and a thought process in which you try to relate the concepts to work you’ve been done in a procurement department, you maximize the chances that you will be able to pass the SPSM Exam.
