Students may log into our system to access our training materials entirely at their own pace, or they may participate in an 8-week course with assigned pre-reading to prepare for live instruction each week.

The training includes hands-on exercises, extra reading materials, and recorded videos, including additional information on the topics discussed.

After completing the training program, a student must pass a written exam and submit a demonstration business appraisal report for peer review. Once they meet all the requirements, the student will earn the Nationally recognized Business Certified Appraiser (BCA) designation.

Membership in the ISBA is required to maintain the BCA certification. Each individual who obtains the BCA designation has access to our learning materials, templates and samples, and the ability to continue to receive support from the ISBA on valuation requests.
