The International Society of Business Appraisers (ISBA), together with Certitrek and the NEBB Institute, has officially joined the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) as a member organization.
The IVSC is the independent global standard setter for the valuation profession. Its International Valuation Standards (IVS) promote consistency, transparency, and professionalism in valuations conducted across the world. Membership is a meaningful signal — it places ISBA alongside the most respected valuation organizations globally.
What This Means for ISBA Members
This membership reflects what the ISBA has always stood for: rigorous, credible, and defensible business appraisal. The BCA designation has long been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a qualified source for business appraisals. Aligning with the IVSC extends that credibility to the international stage.
For appraisers earning or holding the BCA credential, this means your professional home is now connected to the global framework shaping how valuation is practiced and governed worldwide.
Looking Ahead
ISBA members can expect expanded opportunities for learning, engagement, and leadership within the international valuation community as we deepen our involvement with the IVSC.
If you’re considering the BCA certification program or want to learn more about ISBA membership, this is a strong time to get started.
